One of the oldest human inventions, pottery is made by forming clay into shapes or objects before firing them to high temperatures in an oven that is called a kiln. Ceramics can be practical or decorative, both of which give timeless pleasure. The sheer delight that can be found in holding or looking at handcrafted ceramics, whether it be a beautiful cup or fine sculpture, is priceless. Classic mugs and tableware by Sawdust artists Bill Darnall and Robert Jones are a must see, as well as whimsical garden art by Lupe Blanton and exquisite mosaic sculpture by Monica Prado!
The Sawdust Art Festival features over 200 eclectic artists. Come check out their wonderful works on display. The artists featured below work with the Ceramics medium.
